The Lisbon Falls are the highest waterfalls in the Mpumalanga province. These Falls get their names from miners who ventured to South Africa from Europe during the gold rush, and named each waterfall in the region after places from their home countries.

This is the third largest overall, but largest ‘all green’ canyon in the World! This is heaven for primate spotters as all five of South Africa’s main monkey species can be seen in the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. It has some of the deepest precipitous cliffs of any canyon on the planet!
