Hwange is a true year-round Africa safari destination, as it offers excellent, reliable game-viewing at any time. The dry winter months (May – September) offers the best temperatures, visibility, and game-viewing opportunities, especially at the waterholes and hides, or even from your lodge room. From October it gets really hot during the summer months before the rainy season (November – April) starts, however, seeing the Park transforming after the rains is quite a memorable experience, although wildlife is more scattered and more difficult to see especially at waterholes.

Hwange National Park is easily accessed by either road or air from Victoria Falls. A road transfer brings you to the park in less than two hours, with a charter flight the quickest option.
