Day to Day Itinerary

1
Day 1

Arrival in Victoria Falls

Board your flight from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe.

 

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. The 5-star Victoria Falls Hotel offers luxury rooms, high levels of service and hospitality and direct, access to the Falls throughout the day.

A complimentary sunset boat cruise on the majestic Zambezi River is the perfect way to end the day. Drinks and snacks are included, and you might get the chance to see hippo, crocodile and elephant and an array of amazing birdlife.

Day 2

Explore Victoria Falls

Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast before you depart on a guided tour of the majestic Victoria Falls.

 

Guests will be accompanied through the rainforest, on the edge of the Falls, and your guide will give you a brief history of the Falls as well as detailing the flora, fauna and other points of interest. Raincoats are provided when needed to protect you against the spray from the Falls.

You will make your way along the designated path which takes you to the various 16 viewpoints along the edge

After your guided tour the rest of the day will be spent at leisure enjoying any of the other activities on offer here. Lunch can be enjoyed at your hotel.

In the evening, get ready for a culture-focused dinner at The Boma Restaurant. This is an unforgettable combination of entertainment and four-course dining and is highly recommended.

Day 3

Victoria Falls to Chobe

After breakfast you have the morning at leisure, before our ground crew will transfer you to Chobe National Park in Botswana.

 

Chobe Game Lodge is an elegant, five-star, fully eco-graded safari lodge and the only permanent property located inside the world-renowned Chobe National Park and set on the banks of the famous Chobe River. Your room is river-facing and air-conditioned, featuring overhead fans, complimentary mini bar, an en-suite bathroom and a private terrace.

Check in, enjoy afternoon tea and get ready for your first afternoon safari drive in open 4x4 vehicle in the Park.

You will return after sunset and have time to freshen up before dinner is served in the dining area or open-air boma.

Day 4

Explore Chobe

Chobe Game Lodge offers a choice of land or water-based activities and the most complete animal-viewing experience in the Chobe National Park.

 

Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives are conducted by expert guides in open-sided 4x4 vehicles to ensure maximum visibility of Chobe National Park’s spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. Meanwhile, riverside game viewing may be done from small and highly manoeuvrable boats, perfect for morning or sunset cruises.

A typical day in Chobe National Park is as follows:

5:00 - Tea and coffee and light breakfast is served
6:00 - Depart for a morning safari activity
9:30 - Return to camp for breakfast
12:30 - Lunch
15:00 - Afternoon tea
15:30 - Afternoon/Evening safari activity
18:30 - Return to camp
19:30 - Dinner is served

Day 5

Last Day in Chobe

Enjoy your last day in the Chobe National Park. You can enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive or boat cruise or decide to stay at the lodge and relax and enjoy the beautiful views from your room.

Chobe Game Lodge is designed as a haven of peace and privacy – where relaxation is effortless, and you can enjoy your own space. With six comfortably furnished viewing decks, a riverside boma, two bars, six different lounges and four dining locations, a comfy chair or lounger is never far away, each with a different perspective on the wilderness that surrounds the lodge. A large swimming pool provides welcome relief during hot afternoons and there is always a waiter on hand to bring you refreshments from the bar.

Guests wishing to pamper themselves are welcome to book one of the delightful treatments from the in-house beautician or hit the gym for some exercise between the usual Lodge activities.

Day 6

Chobe to Moremi

After your last morning safari activity and breakfast, check out and enjoy a short transfer to Kasane Airport. From here you will be transferred by charter flight to your luxury lodge located in the Moremi Game Reserve.

 

Camp Moremi has a well-deserved legacy in the Botswana tourism industry for being able to deliver the classic African safari experience. Recently completely rebuilt, Camp Moremi is located within Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in an area known for its spectacular game-viewing opportunities.

On arrival, check in, relax and unwind. Lunch can be enjoyed at the lodge, after which you will enjoy your first afternoon safari activity. Activities on offer include game drives and boat cruises.

Return after dark, freshen up and enjoy dinner in the outside boma area or dining area.

Day 7

Explore Moremi

Guest activities include a choice of morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer or the possibility to explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat.

 

This blend of activities allow for access to incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta.

A typical day in Moremi is as follows:

6:00 - Depart for a morning safari activity
9:30 - Return to camp for breakfast
12:30 - Lunch

Day 8

Last day in Moremi

Enjoy your last day in the Moremi Game Reserve. You can enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive or boat cruise or decide to stay at the lodge and relax and enjoy the beautiful views from your room or the communal areas.

 

Camp Moremi’s communal areas includes a sunken bar, masterfully built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge area with beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. These areas, including the elevated dining area, connects by boardwalk to the fireplace in front of the camp. In addition, an open air boma and secluded swimming pool complement the public area facilities.

Day 9

Departure

After your last morning safari and breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip. From here you will fly to Maun Airport.

 

On arrival in Maun you will board a direct flight to Johannesburg.

Victoria Falls

The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world and is a must-visit site for any traveler. The local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya", the smoke that thunders and the Zambezi River and its epic waterfall forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. Besides the Falls, the Zambezi River and the National Parks in the vicinity of the Falls offers visitors a range of adrenaline and leisure-based activities.

Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park, one of the largest Parks in Botswana is situated in north-east Botswana on the banks of the Chobe River. Due to Chobe National Park’s location close to some of the Africa’s most visited natural attractions, this is an ideal safari destination. The Park is biologically diverse and boasts with the highest concentration of elephants in the world. The wildlife and scenery can be enjoyed during game drives, bush walks and boat cruises which are on offer at all lodges and hotels.

Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve can be found in the eastern section of the Okavango Delta and is an excellent safari destination. The Reserve is one of the most spectacular wildlife conservancies in Botswana, where an abundance of wildlife moves around freely. The unique landscape features a unique mix of dry ecosystems as well as wetlands. Among the roamers of the bush are the Big Five, but this is also a hotspot for a profusion of unique bird species.
