DAY 1 – Fly to Mozambique

Meet up with your Jewel of Africa Safaris guide who will hand over all your documents. Your guide will transfer you to either Johannesburg or Lanseria airport for your forward flight to Vilanculos in Mozambique.

A hotel representative will meet you at Vilanculos Airport and transfer you by boat to the island. Your island transfer will be an exciting introduction to these two main islands of spectacular Bazaruto Archipelago and Marine Park. Please note that luggage restrictions apply on these light aircraft flights, which typically only allow soft bags (excess luggage can be stored locally for a fee, provided arranged in advance).

Check in to your luxury lodge, settle-in and relax on this Indian Ocean holiday island, with its vast unspoilt beaches fringed by palm trees and enjoy your beautifully prepared dinner.

DAY 2 & 3 – Mozambique

Enjoy lazy days swimming in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, sunbathing on deserted golden beaches and snorkelling off the beach amongst fish of all descriptions.

The Bazaruto Archipelago consists of several tropical islands and includes some awesome reefs, which are home to a diverse array of marine life; perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling, water sports and world-class deep sea fishing. Enjoy a romantic Dhow sunset cruise and walk along the endless beach exploring your island, with its prolific bird life (over 100 different species, including flamingos and pelicans). Each evening enjoy a romantic dinner and understand what it means to be in paradise!

DAY 4 – Fly to Mpumalanga airport

After breakfast, fly to Mpumalanga airport. A representative of Ulusaba (belonging to Sir Richard Branson) will meet you and transfer you to the Lodge in the Sabi Sands conservancy, which forms part of the great Kruger National Park. Settle in before embarking on a sunset safari drive. Dinner is served back at the lodge after your safari.

DAY 5 & 6 –Ulusaba

Spend the next 2 days exploring the beauty of the African bush. Early morning wake up calls with departures on more exciting safaris (also called a game drive). Return to the lodge for brunch, enriched with your morning’s activities to enjoy a delicious meal, relax and maybe have a noon siesta.

In the afternoon depart on another thrilling safari with your ranger, and return to the lodge after dark for yet another gourmet feast.

DAY 7 – Fly back to Johannesburg

After your last morning safari, you will be transferred to Mpumalanga Airport and fly to Johannesburg or Lanseria airport for your flight back home.
